The Heart Cleaner
Have you ever had one of those stains? The kind where you worked on it yourself for a while. You checked the internet for additional ideas and solutions. Finally, you called the professionals. But, to your dismay, even they could not “get it out.”
You will not find a stain more troublesome or impossible to expunge than that of personal sin. It is not just a surface stain — it soaks all the way through and deep down into the soul. It is the result of a personal choice and will make its impact known on one’s personal life.
But there is One — our loving and merciful God — who can wash us in the blood of the Lamb and thoroughly purify our souls. Child of God, when was the last time you talked to God and pleaded with Him, “Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow . . . Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me” (Psa. 51:8-10)?
