When Paul spoke to the elders in Ephesus, he made it clear that he did not value his life over spreading the gospel.
But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
When we read this, it truly shows us the priority that Paul put on spreading the word. We should take a lesson from him when we think about what we do for the sake of the gospel.
Of course, we may not be able to teach or preach, but even so, there are other things that can be done to lead others to the Lord. We can invite them to opportunities to hear God’s word. We can introduce them to people who are Christians and who might have an influence on them. Or we can simply be an influence ourselves in how we live our lives in front of them. But let’s look for opportunities to lead others to Christ. It was Paul’s top priority, let it be ours as well.
