Belief in God

Throughout time, people have rejected God and the idea of an all-powerful Creator. In Romans chapter 1, the Bible tells us that we have no excuse not to believe in God. We should recognize that there is a Creator by just looking at the evidence of creation around us. What God has made is not avoidable. Logic should dictate that if we see something created then there is a Creator behind it. Yet, some decide to ignore God and His existence.

Romans 1:19-23

19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world,[g] in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

These verses describe those who decide to reject the glory of God and exchange it for images of things that have no power. They believe this is living according to wisdom! But, it is simply the desire to live by their own rules and not to feel obligated to live to please a Supreme Being. God allows that choice, but, there will be no avoiding the consequences of that choice. In this case, wisdom would dictate that we acknowledge God and live in order to please Him. Be wise and believe in God!
